When one walks into the Vineyard Columbus Church in Westerville, Ohio, one cannot help but be impressed by the warm decor, coffee shop, book store, friendly folk, and the plush, comfortable auditorium seats. As the service begins, you are entertained by a great orchestra/choir and the acoustics are, in a word, heavenly. The warm atmosphere, friendly people, and good sounds, leave one with a warm fuzzy feeling anticipating a delightful and entertaining worship service. So, hey, “where’s the beef?” And why is Minutemen United standing at the front gates of this Christian wonderland reproving its church leaders and their flock?

As those Vineyard parishioners who have stopped to talk to us can attest, we Minutemen are there because we know that America is in trouble; very deep moral and spiritual trouble, which has manifested itself in the rise and embrace of rampant sexual immorality which threatens to destroy traditional marriage and the family. It is also noteworthy that over 55 million innocent American babies have been sacrificed at the altar of convenience over the last forty years as well.

And what is the main reason for this moral decline? It’s very simple – the Church of Jesus Christ has not been the salt and light in the world that Christ commanded it to be.

We at Minutemen United have noticed that the Church is AWOL. So, in taking a leave of absence from standing out in front of abortion clinics, the halls of Congress, and local pubs trying to get “bad people” to do good things, we are heeding God’s call to go directly to the cause – the Church, and, more specifically, the pulpits in America. It is there, where the problems all begin, that we feel the Lord wants us to be sounding the alarm today.

Pick any of the many moral problems that plague America today: gay marriage, abortion on demand, corrupt government, the complicit liberal media, crushing national debt, the failing economy, and you will see a deep and desperate problem that threatens the very life of our nation, not just morally, but also spiritually, socially, politically, economically, in every way.

Minutemen United stood vigil in front of the Vineyard Columbus Church on a recent Sunday morning with signs and passed out literature to parishioners as they passed by. The purpose of the visit was to call the Church to be The Church. Minutemen United believes that they are today’s watchmen on the wall calling the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ back to holiness and to speak out boldly and without fear on the moral issues of our day, issues that seriously threaten the future of our great nation. Pastor Rich Nathan and the Vineyard Columbus Church do preach truth from the pulpit and perform many good works in the community, but why does an abortion clinic still thrive less than two miles from the church? Minutemen United is not a single issue organization. We are deeply concerned about the overall moral climate of our nation, and we believe that the pastors in the churches across America have to speak out more boldly about these issues if our nation is to stem the tide of its moral and spiritual decline.

With this in mind, Minutemen United was surprised and shocked that the entirety of one of Pastor Nathan’s recent sermons (see sermon here) was about the Minutemen United. Pastor Nathan claimed in his sermon that the Minutemen United demonstrations in front of his church amounted to “slandering” him! It is quite clear that he missed the point of our witness. A king in the Bible had a different reaction when he was “attacked.” Shimei, a descendant of the house of King Saul, cursed King David and threw stones at him and his followers as he fled for his life from his son Absalom. One of the men with David offered to “dispatch” this vile person for David; but King David’s response was one of humility, not indignation and self-righteousness. David said to Abishai and all his servants “See how my son who came from my own body seeks my life. How much more now may this Benjamite? Let him alone, and let him curse; for the Lord has ordered him. It may be that the Lord will look on my affliction, and that the Lord will repay me with good for his cursing this day.” II Samuel 16:11-12

Minutemen United’s mission is not to throw stones at the Church or curse those who stand in the pulpits. It is to motivate and to mobilize the Church to call the nation back to God’s moral standards. Electing “better” men to political office will not do it. It must start with the Church. Minutemen United is on the same side as the Vineyard Church – we are fighting the same spiritual battle for the heart and soul of our nation.

Sadly, Pastor Nathan did not appear to get that. Instead of complaining about fellow followers of Christ who see the malignant issues destroying our nation and who have been instructed to shout them from the rooftops, Pastor Nathan of the Vineyard church (and other pastors in the USA) should be more concerned about current political, moral and spiritual forces that are rapidly spreading across America like the plague.

For example, the week of Pastor Nathan’s sermon, the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America were preparing to vote on whether to accept openly gay boys up to the age of seventeen into their ranks. Also, the Supreme Court is about to announce a decision on gay marriage that could forever undermine the sanctity of marriage.

Did Pastor Nathan use this occasion to speak to the issue of homosexually? No. Did he call for the closure of the abortion mill that is located just over a mile from his church? No. Instead he used the opportunity on this particular Sunday to “defend” himself from the “slander” of fellow Christians witnessing to God’s truth outside his church – and this was the entire sermon! This is sad, truly sad. To devote an entire sermon to maligning fellow Christians who are trying to warn him and his congregation of the grave danger facing our country and the Church.

If only Pastor Nathan had seen fit to go after the real workers of iniquity in his church’s community with the same vigor and righteous indignation that he employed against the watchmen on the wall who are knocking on his door. Unfortunately, for the time being, Pastor Nathan, and many pastors like him across the nation, chooses to be more annoyed by signs in his church’s front yard sounding the alarm of moral decline than by the moral decline itself, vividly represented by the abortion clinic just down the street from his church. He is apparently more concerned about the traffic jams that his members may have to suffer as they flock to hear his politically correct sermons than he is about the humanism and anti-Christianity in our government-run schools or the threat to the institution of marriage.

God has called Minutemen United to the Vineyard Church in Columbus, Ohio for a reason: to share that we and many concerned Christians in our country see the storm clouds rising over our great nation. We are sounding the alarm and calling Vineyard and the Church in America to be salt and light so that we can together stem the tide of immorality that is destroying our country.

Our adversary, Satan, does not want this initiative to succeed. In this church outreach, Minutemen members have been harassed by the Police Department, physically attacked, bullied, falsely accused, and even arrested. It is quite evident that Satan is doing his best to divide, conquer, and destroy this initiative. We count it all joy, and with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ we will prevail. It is our prayer that the church leadership at Vineyard, and at other churches in the city, state, and nation, will heed our warnings, join with us, seek guidance and boldness from the Holy Spirit to preach the whole counsel of God’s Word from their pulpits, and do what is right in the sight of God. Be the church that Jesus Christ called us to be. Be salt and light and again serve as the conscience of the nation – calling many to righteousness. There is still time. Now more than ever, “As goes the church…so goes the nation.”

May God help us all.

Even the far left knows the power of the pulpit as liberal VP Father Joe Biden is encouraging church leaders to pull the trigger on gun control – Commands Pastors, Rabbis and nuns to tell their flocks that second amendment overrated. Encourages the pulpit to “keep up the pressure and to reframe the debate for their followers in moral terms”

http://www.freepatriot.org/2013/05/13/biden-calls-on-churches-to-tell-flock-that-more-gun-control-is-moral
Vice President Joe Biden has a commandment for pastors, rabbis and nuns: He wants them to tell their flocks that enacting gun control is the moral thing to do. You know how the liberals always push for separation of church and state? That is until it meets their needs.

Biden met for two-and-a-half hours Monday with more than a dozen leaders from various faith communities – Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh, to name a few. Both Biden and the faith leaders encouraged each other not to give up on what has been an arduous and thus far fruitless effort by Biden and President Barack Obama to pass new gun laws in the wake of December’s schoolhouse shooting in Connecticut.

Around a large, circular table in a conference room on the White House grounds, Biden waxed optimistic about prospects for passing a bill, according to four participants who spoke to The Associated Press after the meeting.

Although momentum on gun control stalled in the Senate last month, Biden has insisted the issue is very much alive, and has been meeting regularly with gun violence victims and law enforcement to build support for a second go at legislation to expand background checks, improve mental health care and take other steps to reduce gun violence.

Lingering concerns from some participants illustrated the ongoing challenge the administration faces in winning support for the proposals, even though Biden and Obama regularly tout polls suggesting they enjoy broad support. Some participants raised questions about whether background checks could lead to a national gun registry or whether mental health provisions would be used to create a list of individuals permanently banned from obtaining guns.

Citing what he described as misinformation from the National Rifle Association and others, Biden said the renewed push for gun control must correct misconceptions about what the proposals do and don’t do, participants said. He asked clergy to keep up the pressure and to reframe the debate for their followers in moral terms.

This weekend, Minutemen United plans to learn just how relevant our church leaders are when it comes to the raging culture war that threatens to destroy our nation – specifically in regard to the homosexual agenda. Over the past week we have heard how the Boy Scouts are starting to “see the light” with regard to homosexuals and their “natural” role in scouting. We are also reminded that, with no resistance from the mainstream pulpit, the U.S. Supreme Court is about to officially recognize homosexual marriage. And thirdly, here comes a foul shot from a NBA basketball player (link here) who has proudly announced the he likes guys. He barely had those words out of his mouth when a spokesman for the President of the United Sates, the NFL, and those moral pillars of society, former president Bill Clinton and Nancy Pelosi (among others) applauded the notion. Go Team!

So, what happens next? Does the church body sway silently like a reed in the wind as they did while prayer was stripped from our public schools, or will church leaders once again draw an imaginary line in the sand as they did while the Ten Commandments were torn off the walls of those same institutions? Shall righteousness and truth again fall by the wayside in the shadows of an indifferent and apathetic church?

Minutemen United believes, sadly, that “gay marriage” is a fait accompli…a done deal. It appears that marriage, as God ordained it, is toast and is destined to be relegated to the dung heap of history along with other “good ideas” gone bad. Why, you might ask? Well, that’s easy. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”. Or perhaps better stated, for homosexual sin to flourish, “Prissy Pastors” (see audio in the right column) need only utter nothing.

So listen very closely to your parsons this weekend. Will they even address the subject, or will they merely brush by it by so quickly that if you sneeze you’d miss it? Perhaps they’ll take the customary approach and straddle the fence; on one hand talking about how they don’t believe in “gay marriage” while surreptitiously supporting those who do?

Hopefully, the sermon will be on the subject of how God created Adam and then Eve (not Steve) and that there were indeed divine purposes for the anatomical and spiritual differences. Or how about a series of sermons over the next several weeks on the sanctity of marriage so skillfully exposited from every pulpit that the US Supreme Court might actually be forced to hear them? Or (sigh), will we continue to hear more about peace, love, joy and continue to be the “good, kind Christians” that we are, averting attention away from God’s holiness and righteousness while loving and assuaging countless, misguided sinners…right into hell?

Day by painful day we are beginning to see why it is that Christ is coming for HIS Church (and very soon, we expect). We, “The Church”, should, and do know better, and will surely be found without excuse when He arrives.

See you Sunday.

God help us all.

Minutemen United is a body comprised of men, women and children who “share the love, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ regardless of the consequences “. Like John Adams, we believe that “It is the duty of the clergy (pastors) to accommodate their discourses to the times, to preach against such sins as are most prevalent, and recommend such virtues as are most wanted.”

It is our belief that the rapid decline of America can be directly attributed to the failure of the aforementioned church leaders to properly fulfill their biblical responsibility to condemn sin and preach repentance. This decline is best exemplified by the general decay of conscience, lack of moral discernment on the part of the press, and Satan’s ruling over the halls of our Congress. Further evidence of the problem is that our politics have become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are crumbling before our eyes.

With these things in mind, Minutemen United has initiated a church outreach and community education program that commenced several weeks ago. At its inception, we were quickly encouraged by Satan to cease and desist our efforts. We, of course, interpret that opposition as the definitive sign that we are indeed on the right track and must press on with even greater vigor and determination.

Minutemen United believes that:

We are in a cultural war - a struggle for the very soul of this nation. We also believe that the church in America, under the leadership of her pastors, must become aggressive in defending the basis of our morals and our nation’s laws. Unfortunately, most churches are found to be conscientious objectors. They are busy promoting a season of peace, love, joy, and understanding, yet they are shamefully AWOL in the cultural war.

When confronted with the facts, many churches respond that they are aware of the conflict and proudly point out how they are treating the sick and wounded. When, in fact, they should be in the trenches helping to avoid those very casualties. Rather than inoculating their flock with the truth, today’s clergy bring human reasoning into God’s pulpit, proclaiming a message of tolerance and coexistence that produces lukewarm “Christians” who are not equipped to stand against sin.

The mission of Minuteman United is to call attention to the church’s complacency and their absence from the cultural war in an attempt to encourage the body to unite, arise, and fight for God’s righteousness.

Following the biblical model, we have chosen to begin by communicating directly to the church body and the church leaders. Yes, that’s right. Rather than picketing outside of abortion clinics, Mosques and government-run schools (addressing the symptoms), we are taking our message directly to the root of the problem – the very churches themselves. The bible calls this sharing salt and light with the world.

We have been publicly presenting our grievances with the churches in Ohio for several weeks now and are definitely making an impact. We covet your prayers and support as we continue to “take the bible back to the church”. It is our prayer that you and your state will join us in this endeavor while there is still time.

IN HIS NAME

Minutemen United,

During the twilight hours of February 12, 2013, a tall, slender, dark skinned Muslim by birth and Kenyan by origin skillfully saunters his way towards the pulpit of America and majestically slips into his appointed station. Peering around carefully and seeing nothing to the contrary and being confident that all were there at his bidding, he proudly proclaims himself as this nation’s moral and righteous leader. Millions of citizens watch in awe as this eloquent oracle and factitious “citizen” begins to unveil his directive. A message sent by his god and dreamed by his father is addressed to the weary, dazed, yet hopeful inhabitants of a rapidly declining yet once great nation.

As he continues to speak, it seem to not matter that very little is known about this usurper. How was this alien was so quickly and mysteriouly anointed as the head of his host country? No matter, just look at him; he speaks with such confidence and clarity. It seems that none within earshot can resist this piper’s tune.

The time has come, he utters, to bring about the leveling of justice for all. Whom, he challenges, would dare to disagree? “Now is the time to correct the misdeads of the past”, he proclaims; and all are required to invest their possessions, skills and creations in him and him alone. He will determine their proper disposition.

Doubt him not, he cautions, as he is the chosen one whom has been enabled to “fairly” distribute goods and services in a “fair” and trustworthy manner. Come one, come all, come the needy, the barren. It is he whom is your savior and he alone who will be the final bearer of your fate.

As his message continues, the fate of a once great nation has now been revealed for all to see with great wonder and amazement. What was, you see…no longer is, and that is good, the poser brags. We will no longer be the arbiter of nations nor the light on the hill having now fairly apportioned our blessing to the world.

As he commences his oracle, the stranger carefully steps out of his pulpit to thunderous applause by the throng within the room and millions who have watched in awe at his unparalleled wisdom. What a wonder and anomaly; especially given what precious little morsels we have been fed with regard to his true identity.

A divine appointment many claim; otherwise, why would he be trusted as the sole proprietor of intention?

And what of those that would dare oppose this “imposter” as they claim? Alas dear brothers, your time, it would appear, hath all but expired; as not only is our presenter a gift from his god, but a final harbinger from the Creator God.

God help us all.

In times past, local parsons correctly discerned their role in society and did not hesitate to teach biblical morality, especially when it came to setting moral standards. Today’s pastors? Not so much, according to fellow Pastor Roger Anghis who states that his contemporary counterparts lack iron nerves, strong hands and…their hearts are cold. Maybe that’s why in today’s contemporary services we hear more about tithing and being well-behaved boy scouts when we should instead be encouraged to actually defend those harried scouts who’s very character the church claims to mimic.

HAVE PASTORS FORSAKEN AMERICA?

by Pastor Roger Anghis

As we watch America spiraling down into oblivion we have to ask how this happened. How did we let America be turned into a nation of people who demand that government take care of them instead of the nation of hard working, independent and self reliant people that founded this nation?

To answer this we have to look at what influenced the Founders and what influences today’s society. Let’s begin with what influenced the Founders. During the education years of the Founders there was only one major influence in the lives of the Founders and that was the Pastors. In the 1600′s and early 1700′s the pastors were the most influential person in the community. These pastors were more than simple people who gave a cute sermon on Sunday mornings. They were the leaders of the community. They were the teachers. They carried so much influence in the community that the British labeled them The Black Regiment for the color of the robes that they wore.[1] These pastors did not beat around the bush with their interpretation of scripture. They used the Bible for their foundation of morals.

These men were men of honor and integrity. They preached that Christians should live in the fullness of God’s Word. There were sermons on the deity of Christ, on Christmas, on Easter, but there were also sermons on other varied topics that you would not hear preached today such as sermons on bridges [architecture], earthquakes, taxes, elections, even executions. Whatever was in the forefront of the people’s daily lives, the pastors would address it from a Biblical perspective. They were always out front in the fight for freedom. They helped write state constitutions, were the founders of most of our colleges and universities such as Yale, Harvard, Columbia [Kings College], Princeton, William and Mary, Dartmouth, and Rutgers University.[2]

Church historian Charles Galloway regarded the pastors of the Founding era to be the pillars of the community. He declared: Mighty men they were, of iron nerve and strong hand and unblanched cheek and heart of flame. God needed not reeds shaken by the wind, not men clothed in soft raiment [Matthew 11:7-8], but heroes of hardihood and lofty courage. . . . And such were the sons of the mighty who responded to the Divine call.[3]

Today’s pastors, for the most part, do not have iron nerve nor a strong hand and unblanched cheek and their hearts are cold. They stay as far away from politics as they can. As proof of this in 2005 I assembled a meeting for pastors to help them understand the church’s proper role in the political arena. I invited 200 pastors and had a sitting U.S. Congressman as the keynote speaker and a local State Senator also spoke. Of the 200 pastors invited only one showed up. Several lay people did attend but only one pastor. In speaking with some pastors most has no problem with the way the government had regulated the church’s out of the political arena. The pastors today covet the 501 (c) 3 more than they fear God. Today’s pastors won’t preach against sin or even call sin a sin any more. I heard one very prominent TV preacher say that the “Worst thing a preacher can do is remind the people of their sin.” He even fired his son for preaching from the Bible.

The pastors of the Founding era taught morality. The morality found in the Bible. They were the teachers that reminded the people that they were a free people and that they were to resist any type of tyranny. In 1676 Christian minister William Penn wrote the governing document for West Jersey and stated concerning the type of government that had been established:

We lay a foundation for after ages to understand their liberty . . . that they may not be brought in bondage but by their own consent, for we put the power in the people.[4]

The pastors today have no grounding in this type of teaching. They stay away from anything that looks political including abortion and same-sex marriage issues. They have come to believe that these issues are political and not just a moral issue.

Daniel Webster, the great Defender of the Constitution, stated his belief of the role that the pastors played in developing the representative type of government that has made America the greatest nation on earth:

[T]o the free and universal reading of the Bible in that time men were much indebted for right views of civil liberty.[5]

The Christian ministers of the late 1600’s and early 1700’s were not weak preachers that we see today. They stood their ground under all conditions unrelenting in their fight for justice and resisting encroachments on the civil and religious liberties that they had helped secure.

As an example of their willingness to fight for the rights and liberties that they helped establish an instance arose where the crown appointed Governor Edmund Andros attempted to seize the charters of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, revoke the representative government and force the establishment of the British Anglican Church. Opposition to this attempt to revoke the freedoms and liberties they believed was the God ordained government they were to live by was led by the leaders of the church, the Revs. Samuel Willard, Increase Mather, and especially the Rev. John Wise.[6]

Reverend Wise was so instrumental in that opposition that he was imprisoned by Governor Andros. Even then he refused to back away from his stand for freedom that, even while imprisoned, in 1710 and 1717 two documents declaring that democracy was God’s ordained government in both church and State.[7] These documents gave reason for historians to refer to Reverend Wise as ‘The Father of American Democracy.”[8]

Too many of today’s pastors preach a mamby pamby message and don’t have the guts to stand for anything. After the Revolutionary War the pastors stood strong on legal immigration. Today we see pastors calling for amnesty for all those that have broken our laws and some even call for open borders. No nation has been able to sustain an open border policy. A prosperous nation is brought to its knees allowing that because the economy cannot sustain an unrestrained influx of people. We are seeing that today. We have refused to close our borders since the 1960′s and now we have way too many people coming to enjoy the prosperity of America. Most are coming illegally and we, the church, foolishly encourage it.

Our pastors used to fight for what is right, now they fight for what is popular. Pastors used to teach godly morals and principles but now they sway to and fro with the winds of public opinion. the Bible says in Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;. The pastors of America has lost their zeal for the things of God. Some never really had it to begin with. We are allowing the government to tell us what we can and cannot do. This is a sign of a church with no backbone.

Today’s kids are influenced by MTV and video games and soft to hard porn on TV. They aren’t allowed to learn America’s real history but they can learn about islam. When they get to college most of the professors are liberals that tear down America instead of teaching the great attributes of America that made her the greatest nation the world has ever seen. Bibles are no longer allowed in schools so what influenced our Founders does not influenced today’s generation. Nothing of substance is put before the eyes of today’s youth. They are not taught about patriotism, honor, morality or personal responsibility. They are taught that they are victims instead of champions. Our future is in the hands of uninformed, uneducated and irresponsible people who don’t know who they really are. Ignorant of their real heritage and believing the lies of the liberal left.

Anger Management! That’s about the only way I could describe the Sunday’s sermon message. “Be ye not angry brothers and sisters “cautioned the Parson, for it will ruin your Christian witness and place your soul in mortal jeopardy. ”Look only to John, the brother of Christ“ the pastor continued; John started out as the “son of thunder” and look over yonder now, “ is that not the good brother chasing butterflies in the field? “ . . ( no the pastor didn’t really say that last part but that certainly was what the congregation could easily envision).

So what are we talking about here anyway? Just this. While the voice of the 4000 murdered babies (a day) cry out from the ground and many other children are being funneled into abominable lifestyles, we are told by our Christian leaders that mature Christians are those that are more concerned about guarding their anger than expressing their displeasure. Apparently, good Christians are meant to be emotional idiot savants, loving only and chastising not with the two emotions, love and anger, incapable of fitting into the same spiritual essence.

But doesn’t the bible say “spare the rod and spoil the child” one might ask? Yes, would say the worthy teacher, but only if you can smile and oh, just one gentle lash with that rod, please. We don’t want to send the wrong message now do we. . . gotta be very careful about our gentle, loving image you know. Oh, and after your emotional outbreak please be sure to apologize for your “anger” and un Christian like behavior to your child. Dr. Spock would be soooooooooo very, very proud

And what of our public servants that lack any semblance of a moral base? Well, we still must have that warm smile and open arms for them whilst assuring them that they are safe in their Roman’s 13 cocoon . Besides , if all else fails , we can always pray that our cosmic genie in the sky will swoop down from above, hit them with his magic wand and make everything all better.

When God does comes back – soon I suspect if he is overhearing more and more of these gentile sermons - I can promise you this; he will not be wearing a love patch on his sleeve, or saying “peace, love joy and understanding”. Nor will he be expecting his saints to be armed with wet noodles.

There is much, much more to say on the subject matter but after today’s sermon, I am inexplicably feeling a rather strong urge to visit my wife’s dress shop so that I might find a suitable skirt , adorn it and then go forth and hug a tree, blow soap bubbles or chase a butterfly . . with a smile of course . .

American Pastor : ” this could be the second time Americans will have fought a revolution over attempted government gun grab”

Outspoken Pastor and Constitution Party Favorite Chuck Baldwin has quickly stepped up to the plate on the gun control issue. Pastor Baldwin states that “Firearms–especially semi-automatic rifles–in the hands of millions of American citizens is the only thing that stands between freedom and tyranny . .” He further draws a strong parallel between the cause (attempted gun confiscation) of America’s Revolutionary war and sadly notes one glaring exception . . . today’s pastor, unlike their early American counterparts – who were critical in the first revolution - are Missing in Action. Read full article here - http://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/archives/5365

I have been writing this column for over a dozen years, and I can safely say the column I wrote last week, “My Line In The Sand Is Drawn Here,” produced more response than any column I have ever written–maybe more than any two or three columns combined. And what is even more noteworthy: unlike most columns, the responses to this column were at least 90% favorable.

In last week’s column I said, “Throughout the United States, there are tens of millions of fully-armed citizens who are more than capable of defending themselves and their communities against any enemy–whether that enemy is an internal or external one. In fact, many millions of these citizens have been trained in the US armed forces. Firearms–especially semi-automatic rifles–in the hands of millions of American citizens is truly the only thing that stands between freedom and tyranny for the people of the United States. That Barack Obama and Dianne Feinstein want to disarm the American people should be considered an act of war against our liberties! In other words, ladies and gentlemen, this is a line in the sand that none of us can afford to ignore.”

I also wrote, “Make no mistake about it: to take away an American’s right to a semi-automatic rifle is to FULLY DISARM HIM. There is no Second Amendment; there is no right to keep and bear arms; there is no citizen militia; there is no liberty without the semi-automatic rifle!”

I concluded the column saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, whatever the consequences might be, and whatever anyone else does or doesn’t do, I am prepared to become an outlaw over this issue! I don’t know how to say it any plainer: I will not register my firearms, and I will not surrender my firearms. Period. End of story. It’s not just a saying with me: when my guns are outlawed, I will be an outlaw!

“My line in the sand is drawn here!

“Make no mistake about it: it is not just semi-automatic rifles that these gun grabbers are after. Ultimately, they want to take all of our guns. We either stop them now or there will be no stopping them at all.”

My Line In The Sand Is Drawn Here!

Among those who wrote to tell me that they had also drawn their personal line in the sand on this issue and that they would also absolutely refuse to register or surrender their firearms were people from virtually all walks of life: attorneys, realtors, bankers, teachers, physicians, civil servants, salesmen, truck drivers, tradesmen, pastors, law enforcement officers (including federal police officers), and military personnel–even special forces troops. Accordingly, I am absolutely convinced that these people are a microcosm of gun owners nationwide. I am also convinced that should Senator Dianne Feinstein’s bill banning semi-automatic rifles become law that there are literally tens of millions of Americans who simply will not comply.

Furthermore, former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan recently told John McLaughlin that should the federal government attempt to confiscate the guns of the American people, “There would be a revolution in this country!”

See the report at:

‘There would be a revolution in this country!’, Mail Online

What most people fail to realize (because they are not taught it) is that the match that ignited America’s War for Independence was not excessive taxes, or the lack of representation, or trade restrictions, or the lack of trial by jury (as important as these issues were). The match that ignited America’s War for Independence was ATTEMPTED GUN CONFISCATION.

On April 19, 1775, British troops, some 800 strong, were dispatched to Concord, Massachusetts, to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock and to seize a cache of weapons known to be stored at Concord. When Dr. Joseph Warren sent Paul Revere to warn Pastor Jonas Clark (in whose home Adams and Hancock were staying) that the Crown’s troops were on their way to arrest the two men and seize the guns at Concord, he alerted his male congregants. About 60-70 men from the Church of Lexington stood armed on Lexington Green awaiting the Red Coats.

Upon spotting the citizen militia, a British officer demanded the men throw down their arms. They refused; and the British troops immediately opened fire. Eight of the Minutemen were instantly killed. The colonists returned fire in self-defense, and the shot was fired that was heard ’round the world. By the time the troops arrived at the Concord Bridge, just a few miles away, hundreds of colonists were waiting for them with muskets in hand, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Make no mistake about it: attempted gun confiscation ignited America’s War for Independence. And I am convinced that Pat Buchanan is absolutely right. If the federal government attempts to confiscate the guns of the American people, “There would be a revolution in this country!”

One more observation regarding The Battle of Lexington which opened America’s War for Independence: not only was attempted gun confiscation the match that ignited the war, it was the pastor of the Church of Lexington and members of his congregation who were the Minutemen of Lexington Green. That is another fact most historians conveniently leave out of the story.

If there is one element missing from today’s liberty fight, it is the lack of participation from America’s pastors. By and large they are MIA. How many pastors today are warning their congregations of the threat against their Second Amendment liberties? Every pastor in America, regardless of denomination, should have already started proclaiming “the spirit of resistance” (Thomas Jefferson) to their church congregations; they should already be extolling the Biblical mandate to resist tyranny; they should already be warning their congregations of Barack Obama and Dianne Feinstein’s plan to disarm them.

Let me ask my church-going readers: has your pastor said one word from the pulpit regarding the impending gun ban now being drafted? Has your pastor explained the Biblical principles of lawful resistance? Has your pastor exhorted his church congregation to not surrender their firearms and to do everything in their power to demand that your senators and legislators hold the line for the Second Amendment? And my next question is if your pastor has not done any of this, why are you still attending that church?

Ladies and gentlemen, there would have been no United States of America had it not been for Rev. Jonas Clark and the other patriot-pastors of 1775 and 1776. There would have been no Lexington Green and Concord Bridge; there would have been no Bunker Hill; there would have been no Declaration of Independence; there would have been no British surrender at Yorktown. And I would dare say that if a significant percentage of pastors would stand up this Sunday and encourage their people to stand firm against this gun ban bill, the bill would never see the light of day.

The time is late, folks! We no longer have the luxury of straddling the fence or putting our heads in the sand. If your pastor refuses to take a public stand for YOUR liberties, and the liberties of YOUR CHILDREN, vote with your feet and walk out the door. Find yourself a pastor who will defend your liberties and the liberties of your children–liberties that other pastors and patriots purchased at the cost of their very blood.

I repeat what I’ve already said, “Whatever the consequences might be, and whatever anyone else does or doesn’t do, I am prepared to become an outlaw over this issue! I don’t know how to say it any plainer: I will not register my firearms, and I will not surrender my firearms. Period. End of story. It’s not just a saying with me: when my guns are outlawed, I will be an outlaw!

“My line in the sand is drawn here!”

And so are the lines of millions of Americans.

In response to Pat Buchanan’s prediction of revolution should the federal government attempt to confiscate our guns, John McLaughlin replied, “Baloney!”

I’m sure that’s what King George III said when he was told that would happen if his troops attempted to confiscate the guns at Concord.
