Minutemen United is a body comprised of men, women and children who “share the love, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ regardless of the consequences “. Like John Adams, we believe that “It is the duty of the clergy (pastors) to accommodate their discourses to the times, to preach against such sins as are most prevalent, and recommend such virtues as are most wanted.”
It is our belief that the rapid decline of America can be directly attributed to the failure of the aforementioned church leaders to properly fulfill their biblical responsibility to condemn sin and preach repentance. This decline is best exemplified by the general decay of conscience, lack of moral discernment on the part of the press, and Satan’s ruling over the halls of our Congress. Further evidence of the problem is that our politics have become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are crumbling before our eyes.
With these things in mind, Minutemen United has initiated a church outreach and community education program that commenced several weeks ago. At its inception, we were quickly encouraged by Satan to cease and desist our efforts. We, of course, interpret that opposition as the definitive sign that we are indeed on the right track and must press on with even greater vigor and determination.
Minutemen United believes that:
- We are in a cultural war – a struggle for the very soul of this nation. We also believe that the church in America, under the leadership of her pastors, must become aggressive in defending the basis of our morals and our nation’s laws. Unfortunately, most churches are found to be conscientious objectors. They are busy promoting a season of peace, love, joy, and understanding, yet they are shamefully AWOL in the cultural war.
- When confronted with the facts, many churches respond that they are aware of the conflict and proudly point out how they are treating the sick and wounded. When, in fact, they should be in the trenches helping to avoid those very casualties. Rather than inoculating their flock with the truth, today’s clergy bring human reasoning into God’s pulpit, proclaiming a message of tolerance and coexistence that produces lukewarm “Christians” who are not equipped to stand against sin.
The mission of Minuteman United is to call attention to the church’s complacency and their absence from the cultural war in an attempt to encourage the body to unite, arise, and fight for God’s righteousness.
Following the biblical model, we have chosen to begin by communicating directly to the church body and the church leaders. Yes, that’s right. Rather than picketing outside of abortion clinics, Mosques and government-run schools (addressing the symptoms), we are taking our message directly to the root of the problem – the very churches themselves. The bible calls this sharing salt and light with the world.
We have been publicly presenting our grievances with the churches in Ohio for several weeks now and are definitely making an impact. We covet your prayers and support as we continue to “take the bible back to the church”. It is our prayer that you and your state will join us in this endeavor while there is still time.
